Prairie Mountain Insurance has been co-owned and co-managed by

Bill Brewer and Lewis Zanto since we purchased it in 1996.

We are both involved in farming operations, so we purchase the products we sell.

Our underlying business philosophy has always been

Bill Brewer

Bill was raised on the family farm/ranch in the Geraldine area. He now owns a farm in the Fort Benton area, and he and Lewis own a farm in the Broadview area. Bill has been with PMI since 1989, and he was working in the insurance business in Seattle prior to moving back to Montana. He and his wife, Joan, have 6 children and 5 grand-children.

Lewis Zanto

Lewis was raised on the family farm/ranch in the Highwood area, which he still owns. He and Bill also own a farm in the Broadview area. Lewis has been with PMI since 1992; prior to that he farmed and ranched full-time and lived in Highwood. He and his wife, Kandy, now live in Great Falls. They have 2 sons; Garrett works for PMI and Kellen is a student at MSU.
